We should always be saddened when we hear about the deaths of children. They are innocent and defenceless, there is never any justification for times like the Newtown School Massacre. But below are 2 very different points which outline 2 very different things to think about in the wake of this latest US shooting.
Firstly, it's easy to point out the killing of a large group of children in a powerful country, when everyday more and more children are dying across the world. Their story goes untold because it is old news.
Secondly, the US might be proud of it's gun laws but those who died for it are not. Keep your hunting rifles if you must, but put away the automatic weapons for good. If the US don't know, with a license we can keep certain guns in the UK, but how many massacres happen here year after year? Furthermore, how many massacres will it take before the US wakes up and sees the sense in death?
